Q: Why is the KKK information included in the lead section?

A: This issue has been discussed many times, including the following: Archive 1 (2006), Archive 2(2007), Archive 2(2011)}, Archive 3 (2019-2021). Discussion of the issue occurred again in May 2021. Editorial consensus is to include the information, per this edit, which was then adjusted here and here.

Why is this Article Semi-Protected?

Why is "musician" in the first sentence?

Mention of GBT

I was surprised that this article doesn't mention or link to the Green Bank Telescope, which is named after him. Should this be added?
